So much has been going on and mum has not had the time to update over here. Sadly a few of my doggy friends have not been out to play for one reason or the other. Maysie and Dizzy have had, 'er, womens troubles so have been kept out of all the boy dogs way. Poor little Cliffy has had Kennel cough and not been out with us either as his mum didn't want us all to get it. Boo has been coming out at a different time for the last few weeks. Punch has been coming out at a different time with his dad as his mum hasn't been too well. So you can see I have had a pretty boring time out on my walks.

It's that time of year again when dad is insisting I wear my wonderful collection of coats. It has been raining, raining and raining for weeks now and mum and dad are both fed up with me getting so wet and smelly so the coats have to go on. The other night Maysie and myself looked so very smart with our waterproof Barbour type coats on...until we both decided to jump in the brook and get completely soaked through. Our mums were far from amused.

Just wanted to let all you lovely doggies know that I am visiting your blogs so don't worry, I am keeping up to speed with what's going on in your worlds. I love to see all about you and what you are getting up to....it's just mum not pulling her finger out and getting posting. Plus the fact she can't find her lovely new camera so that's not helping!Loui (and his mum!)http://www.blogger.com/profile/03080808770245622429noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32300514.post-14500771381765145172007-11-12T00:31:00.000+00:002007-11-12T00:38:54.531+00:00Tescos and the tin eating machine!Mum decided to take me for a walk but not until she had been to Tescos quickly. She whizzed off down there and stood there for what seemed like ages feeding tin cans, glass bottles and plastic into this machine that just kept on eating it all...it even burped after a while. It didn't even say "excuse me" either. Terrible table manners!

The Son come along too and he really enjoyed feeding this can eating machine and got all excited when he found out how many points he had got....19 points!

So can someone tell me what this is all about? Why feed this machine when I am hungry all the time?

Loui (and his mum!)http://www.blogger.com/profile/03080808770245622429noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32300514.post-16205042344152072522007-10-25T23:18:00.000+00:002007-10-25T23:33:12.017+00:00The surprise item....Well as you all know the nights are drawing in and we are now more or less walking in the dark. I have my lovely flashing light as do all the other dogs too. We look like a firework display. Tonight was a busy night with Boo, Cliffy, Doodle, Maysie, Ruby and little old me with my new super duper haircut. There were lots of other dogs along our way as normal too!

Now you all remember Boo has a glove, hat, scarve or anything knitted fetish don't you? Boo decided to go into the childrens playground and have a good old sniff about. The gate is missing and there are always gangs of teenagers hanging about in there and Boo goes in there and sends them all running as of course all he wants is their knitted items. Tonight the playground was empty...thankfully!

In Boo goes and seeing as he is a gigantic white ball of samoyed fluff he is easy to see despite it being dark. All of a sudden he jumped up on the picnic table in the playground and we could all see he had something in his mouth. Our mums all screamed that he was eating something and Boos mum got all worried and ran to see what it was. A pair of knickers! Before you ask, I have no idea why they were there.....but someone must have gone home feeling rather cold. His mum pulled them out of Boos jaws only to find that both Boo and her were covered in what she thought was lots of nasty doggy doo....we all think that it was actually human doo! Yikes!!! How awful is that? My mum felt ill after that and Boos mum went home and threw his lead and heaven knows what else in the bin as she was covered in the mess. She bleached her hands too and had a bath to get rid of the awful smell!

Oh sorry doggies, has this story been filled with far too much information? My mum and the others were horrified that someone could leave that around and especially in a childrens playground.Loui (and his mum!)http://www.blogger.com/profile/03080808770245622429noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32300514.post-56663619275363986302007-10-23T13:52:00.001+00:002008-12-11T21:39:58.671+00:00A nice new sparkly collar!
So what do you think of this lovely new sparkly collar then? Isn't it posh?! My lovely friend Cliffy has a great mum who managed to win a competition from Pets at home and she won a great big hamper of doggy goodies. There was food, collars, leads and other stuff. There were so many collars that nearly all the doggies in our walking gang were given one of these each. Some were pink for the girlies, some were black for the boys and we all look rather nice wearing them. Mum has decided that it might be best if I only wear my sparkly collar for "best" or when exepcting guests at home or it might get ruined. So I am sending a really special big "thank you" to Cliffy and his mum!

My friend Archie (cocker spainel) has an "at home" collar that his mum puts on him when he gets home from his walks. I've not seen it but I bet it's not as nice as my new collar. Have I told you about Archie?? Mum loves him. He loves to chase tennis balls and when he has them thrown for him he runs like the wind and kind of squeaks with excitement. Mum thinks this is hysterical and will laugh so much at him. She says he sounds like one of those teddies where you can squeeze the belly and it makes the same noise.

Loui (and his mum!)http://www.blogger.com/profile/03080808770245622429noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32300514.post-20249402669063524372007-10-21T21:59:00.000+00:002008-12-11T21:39:58.846+00:00OMG....has it been that long?Ooooh dear! My mum should hide her head in shame....has it really been 2 months since she last posted? I think it might be. Mum got told off last night by her friend Andrew (hello Andrew, she's updating this blog after you nagging her OK??!!) for not updating this blog and she didn't realise it had been so long! The last time mum tried to update the blog was ages ago when Bailey was staying and she had lots of pics to post of us all down on the beach at West Whittering-on-Sea and after all her typing it wouldn't post so she was a little fed up to say the least!

Here you can see me and Bailey digging for England on the beach at West Whittering.....we really enjoyed that day you know!!

Well, lets hope mum will get her typing fingers out and update my blog more often. Hope you are reading this Andrew.....your words must have motivated mum into doing this!

Loui (and his mum!)http://www.blogger.com/profile/03080808770245622429noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32300514.post-86157030654727131962007-08-19T15:47:00.000+00:002008-12-11T21:40:01.659+00:00Wendover Woods...oh and Bailey is back!!Well, Baileys back and come to stay again! Mum and Dad are dog sitting him for the next 2 weeks and I have to say I am really excited. I should add that both myself and Bailey are really excited and have driven mum and dad mad just charging round the house like a pair of loonies.

Don't we look sweet? Mum, dad and the son took us for a day out to Wendover woods. What a fantastic place!!! Mum has been talking about going here for months and they decided it was time to get there and find out what it was all about. It is the loveliest place and best of all there are great trails to follow and even better is the cafe there. Here you can see Bailey and me having a well deserved rest after walking for what seemed like days....I'm sure it was only really a couple of hours though.

We discovered a great place to sit and watch the other dogs go by too but sadly mum nearly died from fright when I decided to try and jump out of the tiny window so she wouldn't let me stay on the ledge. Bailey sat nicely though and had a good look out. This photo was taken before I attempted my circus trick from the lookout! I have to admit it was rather high once I had a proper look....actually it was a sheer drop of about 10 zillion feet so good job mum stopped me! I don't understand that as we went in from the entrance and that was on the level and not high at all!

We had a nice sit down and looked at the view. Mum and dad seem to spend hours saying "now where shall we go today?" or "where would you like to go?" and never seem to make their minds up! For a nice change mum suggested going to Hurley Lock down on the River Thames. Mum used to go there many years ago for family days out with her mum and dad and other family members and knew how nice it was there. So we set off nice and early.....

When we first arrived I checked out the trees and had a good old sniff to make sure the area was suitable for us all. Well no, actually they didn't take me but instead I was left at Jennies with lots of other lovely doggies to play with. I love Jennie as she lets us roam round her house just like it was ours. You can sleep on the sofas, sleep on the beds, in fact, do what you like. Now isn't that a lady who knows how to treat a dog!

The family went off to the Lake District to meet up with lots of friends for a special weekend. These friends come from all over the place and they all met at Fell Foot park that is on Lake Windermere for a picnic. One of mums friends lives by the Lake and went home to get his canoe and the son was desperate for a go...... Guess who fell in? Yep the silly son! Mum nearly stopped breathing on the spot as he couldn't get back on the canoe. The currents on the Lake are very strong and he was getting dragged further away from the shore. Some very horrible people went past on their boats and never even asked if the son needed any help. My mum called them a few names I think. Anyway, some very kind teenagers towed the son to shore. The son was very tired and tearful when he got a big hug from mum though!

I heard my mum telling her friend on the phone that while they were at the Lake they met a dog who was just wonderful. He was a labradoodle called Jack. Here he is looking very handsome and playful....why wasn't I there to play with him!

Mum has promised that the next time they go to the Lakes they will take me with them. My lovely friend Oscar had to go to the rainbow bridge. I am so sad.....what a wonderful doggie and friend to me.

Bless you Oscar, I shall miss you!

xxLoui (and his mum!)http://www.blogger.com/profile/03080808770245622429noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32300514.post-66304992313530088112007-07-05T21:14:00.000+00:002008-12-11T21:40:04.950+00:00There's another dog in the house!!!!!!!
Meet the lodger!

Mum and dad offered to dogsit Bailey for just over a week while his family went on holiday. Baileys mum packed his bag for him and he arrived on Friday evening with everything he could possibly need for his stay....this included a towel, 2 collars and leads, his food and water bowls, several toys, his bed, 2 blankets, his wet weather coat, his stinky food and loads of biscuits! We thought we were still up the park and had all that empty space. Wrong! It's a bit chaotic when you have stuff like furniture in your way. Mum thought it was highly amusing to watch us both. The photo above is from Friday night with us both play fighting each other. No one thought we were ever going to settle down and would be like it all night. I don't think they would have been pleased if we had done that do you!

Well, I'm worn out and I went and sat on the sofa in the hope Bailey would let me have a nap......he took no notice and wouldn't leave me alone! Goodness that dogs got some stamina. Bailey has slept on mum and dads bed, on the sons bed too, slept on the sofas and eaten chicken nearly every day with me. When he goes home I think he will miss me....I think I might just miss him too.

It's been really nice having Bailey stay as a house guest but I won't miss his bottom burps.....he stinks!Loui (and his mum!)http://www.blogger.com/profile/03080808770245622429noreply@blogger.com13tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32300514.post-41075093730811239602007-06-28T21:22:00.000+00:002007-06-28T21:34:06.950+00:00Where does the time fly to?I didn't realise how long it's been since my mum last wrote in here.....it's been ages and ages. I've not been too well either this last couple of weeks. I have been proper poorly but I think I'm OK now though!

Mum thought I had a grass seed in my ear. I was shaking my head, scratching and just generally rubbing my ears along anything and in fact I was getting in quite a mess about it all. So off we went to see Julius at the vets.

Julius is always very kind to me and this visit was no exception except that no way was he coming near my ears with that pointy thing! Oh no, no way Jose! So he said that he would have to sedate me to have a good old look around and that I was to go in the next morning. So at 8.30am dad dropped me off there and waited for the call to go collect me.

Mum was really worried and couldn't wait to get me. She was to come after 3pm and she arrived on time. I was fine by time she got there and the lovely nurse was sad to see me go home as she said I was a perfect patient. Pah, I just wanted to get home to my bed, my sofa and my mum and dads bed. Boy did it feel good to get home and have some food. I was starved from midnight the night before and I could have eaten a scabby horse. I was given freshly cooked chicken and some nice fresh water. Cliffys mum had sent some lovely chews home with dad and I was given one ot those too. Thanks Cliffy!

It seems there wasn't anything in my ear other than an infection starting up. With my big floppy ears it keeps the insides of my ears very warm and that's just perfect for brewing up infections. So I am having ear drops twice a day and I hate having them. Dad chases me all over the house as I am getting wise to how they both approach me now....it's nearly always one arm behind their backs holding the drops and one ready to grab me. I ain't silly and run as fast as I can! So I have to go back on Saturday to see Julius and make sure everything is OK.

I hope I will be OK as mum and dad are babysitting Bailey for a few days....I'll have to be better so I can defend my bones!Loui (and his mum!)http://www.blogger.com/profile/03080808770245622429noreply@blogger.com12tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32300514.post-33340604886646381972007-06-11T15:31:00.000+00:002007-06-11T15:36:31.897+00:00Big BrotherI don't know about you dogs over here in the UK but the last series of Big Brother took over the TV in my house. Dad couldn't stand it, the son adored it and well, mum just watched it every second that she could.

So now the latest series has hit our screens! Mum however swore never to watch it again as she was fed up with herself for watching so much of it. BUT........it would seem that one of the ladies who walks her dogs with us knows the lady whos son is one of the contestants! Yep, it's Ziggy. Now as I say, mum has not been watching it so she wasn't too worried to hear about this Ziggy guy but I am and wanted to let you all know about him.

Here is the website to go and read about him and see his photo....damm handsome looking guy if you ask me and I don't understand why mum isn't looking. I think mum may posibly be hiding the fact she is really watching when everyone has gone to bed.

What do you think?Loui (and his mum!)http://www.blogger.com/profile/03080808770245622429noreply@blogger.com12tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32300514.post-51828274979210484502007-05-30T11:30:00.000+00:002008-12-11T21:40:05.502+00:00Mr friend Boo!Today I want to tell you about my friend called Boo (no not that one!) who I adore! Boo is a 2 year old Samoyed and he is just like a big fluffy ball of cotton wool. He has sooooo much hair and to make matters worse it's white....well some times it's white. He likes to come in the brook and paddle or swim with me you see and always comes out a delicate shade of blurrgh (green) much to his mums horror!

Now Boo has a terrible fetish for all things knitted and just loves hats, gloves, scarves, jumpers, etc and will go to the end of the earth just to get them. Most of our fellow dog walkers have been near strangled by Boo in the winter months as he grabs the end of our scarves and tries to run of with it. Gloves are ripped off their hands too as he tries to make a tasty meal from a mitten. In the colder months everyone tends to walk with gloves on and then put their hands in their pockets if Boo is about....can't think why!

In this picture you can see Boo and me kissing! Yep kissing!!! We just love each other so much that we can't bear to be parted. In this photo we were at the end of a walk and were about to be put in the cars when we just had to kiss and say goodbye (cue song!) till the next morning. How cute is that!

I love Boo!Loui (and his mum!)http://www.blogger.com/profile/03080808770245622429noreply@blogger.com14tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32300514.post-1352949077516773482007-05-22T15:53:00.000+00:002008-12-11T21:40:05.637+00:00I'm tagged eh!OK Simba....you wanted an unusual photo did you?

This one was taken about 11 months ago not long after I arrived at my lovely forever home!

I used to sit at the top of the stairs waiting for dad to come home or just so that I could see what was going on all over the house. I am a nosey dog you know and from up there I was nearly King (just like Simba!) of the house. This day I had decided that I would lay on the stairs waiting for dad to come home and mum was so amused she got the camera and took this photo!

They have still not decorated the hall yet nor put carpet down as mum can't find what she likes...women eh! I did try to help mum wallpaper the hall by pulling some paper off...she wasn't too pleased though and now can't find that same expensive paper to match and put back up. She really wasn't too pleased with me!

Loui (and his mum!)http://www.blogger.com/profile/03080808770245622429noreply@blogger.com13tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32300514.post-36718924324104853552007-05-20T09:47:00.000+00:002008-12-11T21:40:06.499+00:00We are back.....hurray!!!Well, I am finally allowed back on here again!

My mum has been doing all sorts of stuff and is now finally back in the land of the living, she just can't say "no" to anything you know. Mum has been organising yet another Charity Ball and seeing as the Ball took place last weekend she can finally relax for a while. I have to report that next years Ball is already being planned. Is this woman mad or what!? It was worth it as so far to date over £8,000 has been raised and there is still more money trickling in so yes it was worth it!! The Charity was Marie Curie Cancer Care as mum wanted to help give back what MCCC gave to her mum when she was cared for in one of their hospices.

I got taken to school recently. The Mayhew was a great place, don't get me wrong but here is much nicer.

It was a bit odd when I first met my new family and I was a bit scared about them perhaps not loving me or being horrible to me. I had been in a house where the last family didn't have the time to care for me properly or give me lots of cuddles and walks. So I was worried this family might be the same or worse if that was possible!

No need to worry! The new family were just so kind and took me on some fantastic walks the first weekend here. We went to Trent Park, Regents Park and round the local streets so I could get used to them.

I have had a wonderful year and just wanted to share this with all my friends!

Loui (and his mum!)http://www.blogger.com/profile/03080808770245622429noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32300514.post-82592589878294211372007-05-09T23:06:00.000+00:002008-12-11T21:40:07.328+00:00I've been to visit the vet today!

Well it's that time of the year when a dog has to go and say hello to the man in the green jacket for his vaccinations! My silly mum had forgotten they were due and it wasn't until she got a letter from the vet reminding her about them that she went into panic. I didn't realise where we were going but knew it was somewhere I hadn't been for a long long time. The last time was when I had my little operation back in June of 2006. Far too long in fact and my doggie friends have had to have a word with mum tonight up the park and tell her off. "Go home now and let Loui update it" they told her. Well, I made out I wasn't taking any notice of what they all said but I was glad they did tell her off. It would seem my public are missing me and my tales.

So, Minnis Bay! Seeing as it was half term about 2 weeks ago mum, dad, the son and little old me all went off for a day out by the sea. Dad as normal put his shorts on and was all prepared for a hot day. He insisted that the son wore his shorts too. Mum, well mum being the old salty sea dog that she is knew that as we were going to be by the coast it would be a little cooler and wore a cardigan and combats. She ain't silly y'know!

So set the sat nav and off we went. When we finally found the place mum had read about we all laughed out loudly. FOG! As you can see the beach was only just in sight and the sea, well, we couldn't see the sea! It was a little eerie not being able to see land nor the sea when on the beach...,mum found it really weird indeed.

I tried to play but couldn't find the tennis balls dad was throwing for me. It's not that far really from Dover with it's white chalk cliffs, so there was lots of chalk on the beach and being the daring doggie that I am I thought I best leave my mark. I found a big chunk of chalk and wrote my name on the sea wall! How daring was that!!! Can you see that chew mum put down on the floor of the utility room to entice me in? She is such a tease and she is still standing in the kitchen laughing at me! I had several lessons from both mum and dad on how to simply walk through the screen in the end and it's a doddle really. Just push through and there are the biscuits. I hope it won't cramp my style when I have to rush out into the garden in a hurry if I spy a cat.....
Loui (and his mum!)http://www.blogger.com/profile/03080808770245622429noreply@blogger.com13tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32300514.post-87639084415943795032007-04-05T13:18:00.000+00:002008-12-11T21:40:09.230+00:00Very odd people there are about y'know! There have been some funny goings on during our morning walks you know. For the last 4 or 5 mornings there have been some very odd looking people standing on the back field. They are all dressed in white dress type outfits with hoods. They stand there in a circle chanting and making funny movements.....all very odd I'm sure! So who are they and more importantly, what are they doing? I heard mum tell dad that they could be Druids celebrating something. Mum thought they did that at the Summer equninox so it wouldn't be that just yet, could it? It's very puzzling but they are out early that's for sure. I mean, who would get up and go to the muddy fields at 5.30am wearing a white dress?

A while back there was a man who walked round carrying a machette type of knife thingy and then there was the lady doing Tai Chi and both very early in the morning. Yesterday morning as I was walking with Molly and Bailey these 2 youngish guys come along. They were making loads of noise and drinking beer. Remember, it was only about 6.30am and I think they must have been out all night and were drunk. One of the lads started shouting and saying that he hated dogs and went to kick Molly! OMG!!!! Thankfully he was too drunk to even see straight let alone us dogs correctly and he missed but what if he had hurt her. I don't want to think about it. It really isn't nice is it.

I feel sad now that our lovely walks get spoilt by horrible people. I suppose that in the summer all the teenagers will appear with their silly motorbikes and race up and down and round the fields terrorising everyone. My mum hates that. She knows they are probably bored and don't have anything better to do but why do that!

Here's a silly photo of me VERY asleep on mum and dads big white bed (ssssh, they forgot to put the throw on the bed to stop it getting muddy)!!

Loui (and his mum!)http://www.blogger.com/profile/03080808770245622429noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32300514.post-12730459448680892362007-04-03T10:26:00.000+00:002008-12-11T21:40:09.404+00:00And yet another of my lovely friends.....

Meet Cliffy!
Cliffys mum sent me this wonderful photo of Cliffy aged about 2 months. How sweet is he?! You may remember me telling you that Cliffy is also a rescue dog and so that makes him even more special. He may be weeny but he gets out there and plays with the big guys like Dizzy and Boo and don't stand for any nonsense from them. He whizzes off and plays like a man, sorry I mean dog.

My mum has a secret soft spot for Cliffy and just wants to take him home and let him sit on her lap all the time. She tried it with me but hey, I'm a big dog y'know and don't do that sitting on laps stuff. I'll sit next to everyone, even sit on their heads when they are in bed but rarely I'll let them do the lap thing. I have my park cred to protect. How would Maysie look at me if she knew I sat on laps?

Love you Cliffy!!Loui (and his mum!)http://www.blogger.com/profile/03080808770245622429noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32300514.post-34833095464538289732007-04-01T09:38:00.000+00:002008-12-11T21:40:09.704+00:00Presenting Bailey!Mum received these super photos in her email this week and I am so excited and told her to hurry up and post them here. These are photos of my partner in crime....Bailey when he was a puppy! Now Bailey is a cross breed and my dad said he wasn't sure what he was crossed with but perhaps a Yorkshire terrier or similar. What do you all think? Isn't he sooooo sweet!!!

I meet Bailey every single morning and nearly every evening for our walks. We get on so well and just seem to be glued at the hip as we do everything together. We chew the same stick, we chase the same squirrels and even jump up our mums and dads at the same time to get a treat.

I just love Bailey!
Loui (and his mum!)http://www.blogger.com/profile/03080808770245622429noreply@blogger.com8
